Since April of 2021, the “Uncarrier” has offered free 5G phones with any trade-in. It was a popular offer and still is to this day. Recently, T-Mobile made the deal even better, offering the phones for free with trade-in of damaged devices too. Now they’re adding another device to the lineup, and it too is available with trade-in of a damaged device.
Starting December 8th, T-Mobile will offer the Motorola Moto G 5G for free (via 24mo EIP and bill credits) when you trade in any phone, including old or obsolete devices, even if the device is damaged or cracked.

The Moto G 5G features a 6.5 inch “Max Vision” screen at a resolution of 720 x 1600 running at 90hz. It has a 50MP rear camera system and a generous 5000mAh battery which claims to offer “36 hours of talk time”.
The offer is available to any postpaid T-Mobile customer that can finance devices on their plan.
Customers interested in the offer can buy the device online or in-person beginning Thursday December 8th. Don’t forget, now that the Device Connection Charge is universal for both in-person and online orders, you’ll pay a $35 fee for buying the device. If you’re paying the fee either way, you might as well find a store near you to get your phone same day.
