The carriers have been battling it out for customers a bit more lately, and as a result customers are starting to see some good deals.
First, T-Mobile began offering retention plans that, while not great, are a sign of T-Mobile’s hold over their customers beginning to crack. Now the company is offering some customers free Pixel 10 phones with any trade-in.
As first spotted on Reddit and confirmed via internal sources, T-Mobile is now offering $800 off Pixel 10 devices to some customers. As shown below, the offer is appearing in the T-Life app for eligible accounts.

It’s unclear how eligibility is determined, but it’s likely the company has tons of statistics about customers and their likelihood of leaving. For example, if you’ve generated a port-out pin, or ported out a line entirely recently, you might be considered more likely to port out even more lines in the future.
The offer provides a credit of $799.99 spread out over 24 months to cover the cost of a Pixel 10 entirely, or significantly reduce the cost of a Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL.
What’s even more impressive is that the offer specifies that any trade-in device is eligible for this promo, and it can even be damaged. This means that pretty much any hunk of plastic and metal that is or once was a working cell phone qualifies.

The catch? Well, as far as we can tell, there really isn’t one aside from the typical fees. Upgrades incur a $35 Device Connection Charge and you’ll also have to pay taxes on the new device. Still, for a brand new phone, that’s not too shabby. Do note that this offer doesn’t seem to be compatible with Costco, so no $100 gift card or waived DCC to stack with this one.
The offer began on February 5th, and is available for a limited time. To see if you’re eligible, check for a promo card in the T-Life app similar to the image up above. If you see it, simply buy a new Pixel 10 device as an upgrade on your account and when specifying your trade-in, you should see it qualify for the full $799.99 discount.
In fact, we’ve noticed more accounts than usual are eligible for this promo, even when the tile isn’t visible. If you want to see if you’re eligible anyway, simply begin an upgrade on one of your lines and find the Pixel 10 in the phone list. If you see $0.00/mo, you’re likely eligible.
We’ve also been told eligible accounts will have a segment called Pixel 022026, which can be seen by employees.
There’s no telling when this deal will end, though the promo name suggests it might end on February 20th, so if you’re eligible, be sure to take advantage of it as soon as possible.
