Update 2: It looks like lines with the MAXUp add-on counts as eligible for the higher trade-in values too. This makes it a bit easier to swallow. It’s unclear if older plans with PlusUp will qualify, but it’s likely.

Update: The terms on the phone pages did not include trade-in values for the Pixel 6 for non-premium plans, however they are offering up to $450 for the Pixel 6 as well. The article has been updated to reflect that.

It looks like T-Mobile is once again saving the best deals for its most premium users.

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were announced today, and T-Mobile has once again shown it values premium plan users more than standard plan users.

The Pixel 6 can be had for completely free for MAX/Plus plan users with eligible trade-in. Don’t have a premium plan? You can trade-in as well, but for half the value (up to $450 off).

The Pixel 6 Pro is up to $900 off on the MAX plan with trade-in.

Many people are beginning to say T-Mobile is no longer the “Uncarrier”. Things like this are only furthering that opinion. On one hand, it’s understandable to offer exclusively good values for the premium plans, however cutting the value in half when you don’t have the more expensive plan is annoying at best.

Rant aside, some of the values on the MAX plan are insanely good. Here are the trade-in values for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.
