There’s no getting around the fact that T-Mobile’s Home Internet app is limited. For most users, the options are enough, but power users tend to want features that T-Mobile just doesn’t provide. There’s also no way to properly control or monitor a T-Mobile Home Internet gateway from a PC. That’s where my app, HINT Control, comes in.

You may have seen the article here from a month ago announcing it and listing the basic features, but in case you didn’t, here’s a quick summary. HINT Control is a cross-platform app to let you see and use advanced features on your T-Mobile Home Internet gateway. It’s compatible with all current gateways, and works on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. HINT Control can’t fix every limitation with T-Mobile Home Internet, but it adds access to a few hidden features that aren’t in the official app.

This article is to announce that HINT Control is now available on iOS officially, through TestFlight. Before, you would have needed to sideload the IPA file manually to your device. Now, you can install it directly.

HINT Control for iOS is available on iOS 14.0 and later and can also run natively on Apple Silicon Macs. The UI is scalable and should look nice on any device, from a first-generation iPhone SE, to a 12″ iPad Pro, to a full-screen window on macOS. Simply follow this TestFlight link on an iOS device or Apple Silicon Mac to download.

It’s important to note that HINT Control for iOS isn’t stable. The underlying framework, JetBrains Compose, is still in alpha for iOS, so there will be visual glitches and crashes. Most issues are dependent on updates from JetBrains.

Am I promoting my own app? Yes I am. Do I get anything from you downloading it? Nothing besides more feedback and potential contributors.
