According to an internal memo obtained by The T-Mo Report, Sprint’s CDMA 3G network will be no longer available after January 1st, 2022.
The notice, shown below, states that T-Mobile is retiring the Sprint 3G CDMA technology and will “re-use those resources for LTE and 5G networks, providing a more feature-rich experience for customers.”

It goes on to state that T-Mobile began notifying customers who are 12+ months into their current lease or own their device of this change. They’ll also be sending out additional emails later this year.
There’s also mention of Sprint-specific phone offers. We’ll have to wait and see if those offers end up being enticing for customers.
