Hey there! Looks like you're blocking ads.
We get it, they're annoying, and we won't stop you. However, consider adding us to your allowlist, or joining our Patreon to support our independent journalism. Tiers start at just $1/mo!
Update: So far it seems maybe new customers are offered the $1000 for two lines promo, while existing may only be offered the $100 for a single line. Everyone seems to be seeing different offers, so check the T-Life app or T-Mobile website to see if you’re eligible and what value you can get.
It’s always nice when you can get a special deal when porting in to a new cell carrier. T-Mobile, like many other carriers, offers various phone promos for new lines and sometimes special port-in promos too. Tonight only, though, the company is offering a very limited-time deal.
As spotted in the T-Life app, T-Mobile is offering a very limited-time promo offering up to $1000 in rebate gift cards when you port in two lines. The offer only started about 40 minutes ago, at 6PM PT (9PM ET).
The offer shows up for existing customers in the T-Life app, and varies seemingly depending on your plan name or even other statistics like how many lines you have. It seems this offer may be for both new and existing customers, but some users have said they don’t see the offer, so YMMV. It could even be targeted based on location.
The offer may also be targeted. Honestly, this offer is only around for so little time that we haven’t really been able to narrow down the details.
For my account personally, I was offered just $100 to port in a single line, while others were shown the image below, offering $1000 for two lines or $500 for a single line.
The fine print specifies that the virtual prepaid Mastercard has no cash access and expires 6 months after receiving it. The card can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. You’ll also need to wait up to 8 weeks for it to be issued, and there is a limit of one use per account (unless it’s the 2 for $1000 offer).
The offer ends at 6AM Pacific (9AM Eastern) on June 15th, so if you’re interested, be sure to check the T-Life app ASAP!
