Back in November, as part of an Un-Carrier event, T-Mobile announced a new same-day delivery option for devices ordered online. The deliveries are done via DoorDash, and allow pretty much any in-stock device to be delivered same-day, even home internet gateways.

AT&T, on the other hand, has had limited same-day delivery in select markets for a while. They used actual AT&T employees to hand-deliver devices and help with setup. The problem is the service is only in certain areas, and not nationwide. There may be a bit of a change to that soon, though.

Same-Day Delivery Via Uber

A source has shared news that AT&T is currently offering same-day delivery via Uber in Texas. The source also provided an image showing what a customer in an eligible area will see if it’s available.

We’ve also confirmed the news via another source, who says it’s an option on their end in Salesforce, but it’s currently not enabled.

The deliveries will likely work just like they do for T-Mobile, but using Uber/Uber Eats delivery instead of DoorDash. It makes sense as a partnership, since T-Mobile and DoorDash are already so close. Now all that’s left is for Verizon to start using GrubHub!

We’ve reached out to AT&T to find out if and when a nationwide rollout of the same-day delivery service is set to go live. For now, keep an eye out when placing an order to see if you’re in a test market.
