If you’re anything like me, you’re probably always ordering food from home. At some point, it becomes an addiction—I can get whatever I want to eat with two clicks from my phone. It’s pretty neat.
Now, though, you’ll be able to order a lot more stuff a lot more frequently, because T-Mobile is now planning to give you a pretty nice perk.
Starting on July 8th, eligible T-Mobile customers will receive a complimentary DashPass subscription, a service that typically costs $10 per month or $120 annually, via the T-Life app.
As a reminder, members of DashPass enjoy zero delivery fees on their orders and also benefit from reduced service fees. For individuals and families who frequently use delivery services, it can result in some sick savings.
In T-Mobile’s “Trade-offs Left The Chat” livestream on Monday, where the company also announced data coverage for T-Satellite, CEO Mike Sievert suggested that regular users of DoorDash could see annual savings up to $600 or $700.
This free DashPass subscription isn’t limited to customers on the newest or most expensive plans, either. T-Mobile is extending the benefit to a wide range of customers, including those on “all popular plans”, even as far back as Magenta and ONE plans.
We’re not sure about Simple Choice, but we are assuming that if you have access to T-Mobile Tuesdays, you’ll be getting the offer too.
You may be wondering if the free DashPass includes the free HBO Max subscription that normally comes with DashPass Annual subscriptions. T-Mobile hasn’t said if it does, but we doubt it. Typically these deals are unique and basically a barebones version of whatever service is being offered (in this case DashPass), and T-Mobile would likely have to do their own deal with HBO themselves for such an offer. It would be a pretty nice surprise if it is included, but don’t expect it.
To access and activate this new benefit, T-Mobile customers will need to use the T-Life app. From there, you’ll be able to access the perk and apply it to your account once the offer is live on July 8th. And remember, always tip your driver!
