The big three postpaid carriers in the US each offer unlimited talk, text, and data with varying levels of perks and prices. As a result, they’re looking for ways to stand out among the competition.
T-Mobile has free Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV+, and their Tuesdays perks program offers freebies and coupons every Tuesday. AT&T has their AT&T Guarantee, allows mixing and matching plans on a per-line basis to save money, and offers discounts when bundled with home internet.
Verizon’s new Project 624, first teased back in April by Verizon Consumer Group CEO, seems to be all about reminding customers that they have the perks people want, and their event, set for June 24th (naturally), is “all about the customer”.
Verizon reminds customers of the myAccess program
Verizon first launched the myAccess program last year. It’s a rewards platform for postpaid customers that offers benefits such as concert presale tickets, priority access to events, and other live-event based perks. The program also apparently offers “anytime deals” on occasion.
According to a document shared with us here at The Mobile Report, Verizon’s upcoming Project 624 is primarily about promoting their existing perks while also “doubling down” on the available rewards.
The document suggests that Verizon plans to increase the rewards offered via myAccess. Things like gift cards, pickleball sets, Disney ears (?) and more will apparently soon be available to customers.
In addition, the My Verizon app is apparently getting “a big facelift” on or around June 24th. Could it compete with T-Mobile’s Tuesdays offerings?
Free in-store swag for customers
We’ve also received word that stores across the country are receiving free items to give to customers.
As shown below, water bottles, drawstring backpacks, and sunglasses are arriving in boxes and presumably are set to be given out on June 24th.

The “palm cards” mentioned in the document feature information about myAccess, and are also arriving in stores. Pls, they’re also receiving shipments of cookies with a “Customer Appreciation Event” label on them, apparently from Cheryl’s Cookies.
Could there be more?
All told, this doesn’t seem like too big of a deal for something that was teased with a mysterious name two months ago. Could there be other things we don’t know about yet? Absolutely.
One rumor we’ve heard is that Verizon will soon offer free lines to some customers for a limited time, similar to how T-Mobile once flooded customer accounts with them years back. The catch, we’re told, is that these free lines may only be free for a certain length of time, after which a regular charge will begin.
It’s possible there are other perks or benefits coming that we aren’t aware of yet as well. What is clear, though, is that Project 624 is definitely about focusing on the customer.
Do you think Verizon has what it takes to take on T-Mobile’s Tuesdays program? Keep an eye out on June 24th to find out.
