The wireless age is in a new era of connectivity for the home, with new cellular offerings supplementing or even replacing traditional ISPs. Nowadays, your home internet doesn’t need dedicated wires coming into your house from extended infrastructure in your city or town, and instead you can just use a plug-and-play solution provided by your carrier.
AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon have been in the home internet game for a few years now, serving an increasingly large footprint in the USA every time a new tower fires up. Unlike complex wired infrastructure deals creating limited monopolies, any of these internet options are available for you so long as the network in the area can guarantee a minimum speed.
In 2025, unless you have a fiber network in your area, wireless internet speeds are quickly nipping the heels of your broadband provider for speeds. The era of the traditional ‘cable company’ might continue to see some interesting shakeups in the future.
Prices are wildly competitive for home internet service as a result, and in Verizon’s case, can net you some extra hardware for signing up.
A Free VR Headset or TV With Verizon Home Internet Signups
Live on Verizon’s website now is a deal for new customers signing up for Verizon Home Internet. The company is offering one of two free hardware deals for customers.
At a value of $299.99, the Meta Quest 3S is the first of the two options. This is the budget-friendly model of the Meta Quest 3, with a few compromises to viewing resolution and motion sensing. However, it boasts the same internal computing power, so there is zero compromise to performance to the mainline model. To be eligible, new customers must be in good standing for 65 days and redeem the offer within 60 days after eligibility is met.
The other offer, worth a little more value at $329.99 new, Verizon is also offering a 43″ UHD TV on the house. You could also opt to pitch in $100 and upgrade to the 55″ model if you prefer. These TVs are 4K compatible for a vibrant viewing experience. You must also be in good standing with your bill for 65 days after activation to be eligible. Redeeming your TV has a bit of a different timetable, as Samsung’s delivery of the promotion can take up to 8 weeks once you are eligible. Still, a free 4K TV isn’t too shabby, and honestly I’d probably pony up the $100 to get the 55″.
Both deals are available now and good for signups up until April 30th, 2025, while supplies last. You’ll need to sign up for the 5G Home Plus plan to snag these bonuses. Those who signup will have until October 2nd 2025 to redeem the offers. Verizon says they have the right to chargeback the value of either piece of hardware if you cancel within 180 days, so be aware of that.
If you have been on the fence, this is a great time to reconsider the value in a switch. If you’re interested, you can check out the offers at the link below.
