The new Samsung Galaxy S25 series of devices are now up for preorder, with the official launch date set for February 7th. All three carriers, T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T have plenty of deals to satisfy your craving for new gear, but new information seems to suggest AT&T might have a bonus perk up their sleeve: early release dates.

According to a document shared with us here at The Mobile Report, AT&T stores may be selling the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series of devices a whole week early.

The image above was apparently part of an email sent out to store representatives recently, and claims that the new S25 series of devices will be available in-store today, January 31st. That’s a whole week sooner than the official launch date.

Of course, it’s entirely possible that the email was sent in error, or has a typo. This information is via leaked internal documents, and was not meant for public visibility. Therefore you should assume it could be wrong until it’s officially announced. That being said, the words “in-store launch is coming early!” is a pretty big typo to make if it were one.

It’s pretty well known in the cell phone community that you never break “street date”, which is the date that sales are first allowed, and is set by the manufacturer. Some manufacturers, like Apple, can detect if a device in a store has been powered on before that date, and has often led to employees being fired.

That’s why this news is so interesting. If AT&T is planning to sell the devices early, it would absolutely only be with the permission of Samsung. If so, it’s an unusual move. It’s also possible (though unlikely) that Samsung moved the release date up by a week for every carrier, and only the AT&T one leaked.

All three of the devices, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, will apparently be available for purchase on Friday January 31st in stores. It’s not clear if it’s only for new purchases or if existing pre-order pickups would be allowed, but time will tell. If you want a chance at getting the phone a week early, you may want to check your local AT&T store for details.
