If there’s something we love about capitalism, it’s got to be competition. Sometimes it gets fierce, and you love to see it.
Mint Mobile recently launched one of its best promotional deals in recent memory, where they’ll give your whole family a line on the MVNO and waive the costs of up to 4 of them for 3 months. It was a decent offer, but of course, competitors were listening. Visible has an answer, and it’s arguably a much better deal.
In a direct response to Mint Mobile’s latest promotion, Visible, a Verizon-backed prepaid provider, is offering T-Mobile postpaid customers what it pitches as a significantly more attractive deal. While Mint Mobile is currently enticing customers with its eye-catching, signature $15 per month pricing offer and additional free lines, Visible is countering with a 5-year price guarantee of $15 per month, per line, with taxes and fees included.
For this specific campaign, Visible is highlighting the hidden costs and limitations of Mint Mobile’s offer. Mint Mobile’s promotion only lasts for the first three months, after which customers are charged the full retail price, resulting in significantly higher costs in the long run. Additionally, Mint Mobile’s “unlimited” plan actually has a 40GB data cap, after which speeds are throttled.
Visible’s offer, on the other hand, provides long-term savings and transparency. Its $15 per month plan includes taxes and fees, and there’s no upfront payment or long-term commitment required. Even its standard $25 per month unlimited plan offers better value compared to Mint Mobile’s offering, according to Verizon.
The only catch is the offer is valid for the company’s standard Visible plan. The Visible+ plan, which offers extras like Ultra Wideband network access, a free smartwatch plan, and extra hotspot speeds, isn’t stackable with the $10 off. If customers do change from the base Visible plan within the 5 year window, they lose that $10 savings permanently.
Oh, and Visible doesn’t really do family plans, so each line you want to get the promo for will need to be set up individually. That’s not too big of a deal, though.
If you would like to check this one out, T-Mobile customers looking to switch can take advantage of Visible’s deal by bringing their own device, using the code BYEBYETMO at visible.com, and porting their number within 30 days.
