You might know Mint Mobile as Ryan Reynolds’ MVNO, but now that it’s owned by T-Mobile, some customers thought the good times were over. Well, while other carriers are jacking up prices, Mint is keeping them low. Not only is the company offering a $15/mo intro price for 3 months on all plans, but now new customers that switch from Verizon or AT&T can stack 4 more lines onto that offer…for free.

In what appears to be a direct response to AT&T’s latest round of price increases, Mint Mobile is offering customers of both AT&T and Verizon the opportunity to switch and get service for the rest of their family for free. This unprecedented deal allows customers to purchase one Mint Mobile plan at $15/month and receive up to four additional lines at no cost for three months.

Mint Mobile’s Chief Marketing Officer, Aron North, highlighted the stark contrast between Mint’s customer-centric approach and the practices of AT&T and Verizon, who have collectively raised prices 11 times in the past year. North emphasized Mint’s mission to provide more value for less money, especially in the face of rising costs from major carriers.

Mint Mobile plans offer unlimited talk, text, and data on T-Mobile’s 5G network, along with additional perks like free international calling and Scam Screener. The company prides itself on transparent pricing with no hidden fees, contracts, or unexpected price hikes.

As usual, of course, there’s a bit of fine print here. The offer is only applicable for three months, after which point you’ll need to pay for each individual line at the usual rates. The good part is that those first 3 months are free for the 4 bonus lines, so if it actually were an eternal offer, it would be way too good to be true.

The good news is, for now, every plan is $15/mo for three months. That means a family of 5 can port over from AT&T or Verizon and pay just $45 for 3 months of “unlimited” service. “Unlimited” in this case is 40GB of full-speed data.

Of course, taxes and fees may nearly double that, as seen below, but it’s still a half-decent deal.

Ouch, fees suck.

Pricing after the promotional rate will vary depending on how many months you pre-pay. For example, a 5GB plan paid 3 months in advance is $25/mo, but paid 12 months in advance is just $15/mo.

One great advantage to “Family” plans at Mint is that each line has it’s own plan, so you can mix and match to fit your needs, and pay it all in one lump sum ahead of time. So after that 3 months of unlimited, simply swap your lines to lower-tier plans if needed to keep costs in check.

There’s no telling when this port promotion ends, so be sure to check it out using the link below.
