Deals can’t get any better than free smartphones. Especially so when they’re brand new smartphones.
Google recently unveiled the Pixel 8a, and if you weren’t willing to spend a lot of money on the regular 8-series smartphones, this phone might be what you’re looking for. It’s almost identical to its bigger siblings as far as hardware goes, while cutting on other corners such as the camera, the screen, and the battery.
It’s a mid-range phone, but probably one of the better mid-range phones your money can buy. Or, if you want to get it through T-Mobile, it can even be free. It can’t get better than this.
T-Mobile announced that the Google Pixel 8a, Google’s latest mid-range phone, would be available through the carrier starting May 14th through both physical T-Mobile stores and online. What’s interesting here, however, is that customers can take advantage of several offers, including receiving the Pixel 8a free under specific conditions.
To receive the Google Pixel 8a free, you can either add a line to most T-Mobile plans, or trade-in an eligible device on Go5G, Magenta, or ONE. Business customers can also receive the device for free with a device trade-in on the Business Unlimited Select plan. It’s worth noting, that plans as far back as the ONE plan are eligible.
There are a list of eligible trade devices at different values, shown below. Interestingly enough, some of the values of the eligible devices are under $100 on the used market, making this a fantastic deal for some.
