Going prepaid is one of the best ways to save money on your cell bill. We tend to see better deals than those offered on postpaid, and all around, the savings are better as long as you’re willing to give up some of the perks you’d get with a postpaid account.
You can get prepaid service from MVNOs, but also from carriers themselves. If you’ve been looking at T-Mobile’s prepaid service, you’re in luck, as T-Mobile is offering a great deal that you can’t miss.
Now, for a limited time, T-Mobile is offering you the option to grab two prepaid lines for a flat $75 a month.
This becomes even more enticing once you take into account a couple of things. These lines can let you call and text US, Canada, and Mexico numbers completely for free as long as you’re within one of those three countries. It’s not quite “international,” but it gets the job done — if you travel within the North American continent, you’ll be covered.
The second thing is that with these lines, T-Mobile is also waiving the DCC (Device Connection Charge) fee when you activate them. This is usually a $35 charge, so you’re getting even more savings by taking advantage of this.
This promotion was originally slated to start March 21st, but was delayed due to implementation issues. It’s now set to launch on April 3rd, along with the new prepaid fees.
There’s no word on how long it will last, so if you’re interested in grabbing a pair of prepaid lines on T-Mobile and you want to save a few bucks while doing so, you better jump on this deal now. Just be sure to pay your bill online or in the app to save on those pesky new fees.
