Wireless home internet is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to wired and satellite home internet. With how fast 5G is (in some areas), internet speeds aren’t really a concern anymore, and while fiber is usually the gold standard, wireless internet is able to reach the parts of the country where there are only slower and more expensive options.
If you’re on the fence about what wireless internet provider you should try out, everyone from T-Mobile to AT&T is doing it, but Verizon has a very compelling reason to get you to switch to their service — $200.
Verizon is currently enticing potential customers to switch to their 5G Home Plus Internet service with a limited-time offer: a $200 Verizon gift card, which can be used to offset the service’s cost, or a free Apple HomePod, valued at $299. This promotion is set to expire on November 8, 2023.
Verizon’s 5G Home Internet offers two plans, both providing identical speeds. The basic plan starts at $35 per month ($15 off per month for having Verizon mobile service and $10 off for autopay), includes a Wi-Fi 6 router, and comes with a 2-year price guarantee. The main limitation is video streaming is capped to 1080p. The standard Home plan does not offer the $200 bonus or the HomePod bonus.
On the other hand, the 5G Home Plus plan does offer the bonus. It starts at $45 per month ($25 off per month for having Verizon mobile service and $10 off for autopay), features a Wi-Fi 6 router, a 3-year price guarantee, and unlimited cloud backup. The video streaming on this plan maxes out at 4k.
To qualify for the $35 and $45 monthly prices, customers need to have Verizon Wireless 5G Do More, 5G Play More, 5G Get More, or One Unlimited plans. There are no equipment fees, and the price guarantee lasts for 2 to 3 years, depending on the chosen plan.
To sign up for Verizon 5G Home Internet, interested individuals can visit Verizon’s website. The free gift offer ends on November 8, 2023, and is available to new home internet customers who activate and maintain eligible 5G Home Plus services in good standing for 65 days.
Some terms apply: Customers must register for the gift card within 60 days of activation or no later than March 18, 2024. The gift card will be emailed within 48 hours of registration, and Verizon reserves the right to charge back the amount if eligible service is canceled within 180 days.
If you want that gift card, make sure to check out Verizon’s website and check whether it’s available in your area.
