Each carrier’s best plan tends to be overlooked because of its price. But there’s a reason why these plans cost so much—the perks. Verizon’s Unlimited Ultimate plan costs quite a bit per line, but you also get a lot of bonuses and freebies with it. According to a leaked document shared with us here at The Mobile Report, it’s now gaining a few new improvements.
Verizon is enhancing its “Unlimited Ultimate on myPlan” offering, according to an internal communication dated April 14, 2025. Starting April 17, the plan will include two significant additions at no extra charge: unlimited mobile hotspot access and international calling capabilities.
The hotspot is a great value-add for existing customers. Prior to this update, hotspot was capped to 60GB per month for high-speed data.
It’s not clear if the “international calling” refers to actually unlimited international calling capabilities, but if it does, and the list of countries you can call is not heavily limited, it could be a game changer. Currently, customers on Unlimited Ultimate get to choose one of 140 countries and get up to 300 minutes to call that country.
It’s also worth mentioning that Verizon is still offering their “Best Value Guarantee” to both new and existing Unlimited Ultimate customers, locking in their current plan price for three years.
To prepare their workforce for the rollout, Verizon launched mandatory training on April 15. The training modules will cover specific scenarios tailored to three distinct customer groups: prospective new subscribers, existing customers eligible for an upgrade, and current Unlimited Ultimate plan users.
The memo we saw hints at further improvements. Some perks associated with myPlan might soon also be scheduled for an upgrade, although we wouldn’t be able to tell you which perks those are.
