By now you’re aware of the new iPhone 16e. If you’re on AT&T, you may be wondering what kind of deals are available to you in order to snag Apple’s new greatness.
The new phone pretty much wants to keep the spirit of the deceased iPhone SE line going—it has the same SoC as the iPhone 16, but cuts down on things like the screen and the camera. The result is an iPhone that’s modeled after the iPhone 14, down to the screen notch, but with the internals of a much more modern phone.
If you’re an AT&T user or you want to be one, you might want to check out the deals the company currently has going.
AT&T has announced that it will be carrying the iPhone 16e, and the phone can be had for just $5.99 per month with any AT&T unlimited plan. No trade-in, no new lines, no strings.
This particular offer, while it’s not a free phone compared to what companies like T-Mobile and Verizon are offering, is remarkable because it requires no trade-in and no extra costs—you get the phone, and you don’t need to send back anything.
The total cost over the 36-month installment plan would only be $215.64, a savings of $384.36 (for the 128GB variant). That’s not too bad considering you don’t have to do anything to get it.
If you do have a half-decent trade-in to offer, AT&T will take it, as long as it’s an iPhone 13 Pro or higher, and will give you an iPhone 16 Pro instead. It’s free, and it’s probably a smarter option if you have a device worth trading in, but if you don’t have an eligible trade-in, the iPhone 16e is there for you.
AT&T’s deals are arguably not as attractive as those from other carriers we’ve covered, but if you’re an existing AT&T user looking for a cheap upgrade, this might hit the spot.
