One of the most popular free perks T-Mobile gives users is the free streaming benefits. Despite them all becoming progressively worse with ads, free is still (mostly) free.
In addition to the standard Netflix and Hulu stuff, T-Mobile also famously gives out access to MLB.TV, which gives subscribers access to all out-of-season MLB baseball games for a whole year. While it’s not quite time for that subscription to come around (the company made a deal with MLB through 2028), T-Mobile wants to tide you over with a free MLS soccer subscription.
T-Mobile has announced they will again be offering a free Major League Soccer (MLS) Season Pass to its postpaid, Metro by T-Mobile, and business account customers.
The perk, which is a $99 value, provides access to every live regular-season MLS match, the entire MLS Cup playoffs, and the Leagues Cup on Apple TV+. That’s almost all regular first-tier soccer games in the US, and the Leagues Cup pairs MLS teams against teams from the Mexican league.
The Season Pass doesn’t include other competitions such as the CONCACAF Champions Cup, the US Open Cup, or the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup taking place in June., nor does it include any matchups between national teams—it’s just the MLS. Still, if you want to follow your favorite team, it’s not bad.
Soccer is typically more popular elsewhere in the world, but that has slowly been changing over the years as the MLS has increasingly spent more money bringing world-class players from Europe to the US. Now, it’s popular enough that T-Mobile is willing to give it out as a free perk to its subscribers. Sweet!
The MLS subscription was first offered by T-Mobile in 2023, but was not offered in 2024. Hopefully such free perks continue in the long term as a regular staple. Both T-Mobile postpaid (consumer and business) as well as Metro by T-Mobile customers are eligible.
To redeem the deal, beginning February 18, eligible customers can check the T-Mobile Tuesdays section of the T-Life app. It’ll be available to claim directly and activate via Apple TV+. Make sure to check it out when you get a chance.
