MVNOs are a great way to save money compared to traditional carriers. If you’re willing to forego certain benefits, such as the range of “perks” T-Mobile gives you, MVNOs will give you just the basics for a flat, affordable fee. Depending on how simple you’re willing to go, you can save a lot of money in the long run.

Many MVNOs have come out with ultra-affordable, promotional tiers, and US Mobile is the latest to do so. If you don’t mind certain limitations, you can get a whole year of service for just $180. Yes, an entire year.

If you’re willing to commit to it for at least an entire year, US Mobile wants to help you save money with its new 10 GB Plan. The name of the plan is pretty self-descriptive. It’s the company’s most limited and basic plan, and yet at the same time, pretty usable. You get unlimited calls and texts along with 10GB of data each month.

It’s full-fat 5G service, too, operating on Verizon’s 5G network (or a GSM alternative, if needed). You can even get a 30-day free trial for porting in your number, if you want.

The only downside is this is not a “limited amount of fast data, unlimited slow data” kind of situation. Once you run out, you have no data at all. You’ll have to do top-ups if you want to continue using the service.

That being said, it can be a great deal for someone who doesn’t use a lot of data. More importantly, it’s extremely cheap, working out to only $15 per month. That’s less than what you pay for Netflix nowadays.

Most MVNOs with pricing this low only apply this kind of pricing for either a promo period or an even more limited plan, which is why this particular plan might look very enticing for some. You’ll have to pay a whole year upfront, which will set you back $180, but once you do that, you won’t need to worry about a cellphone bill until the next year. Unless you have to do top-ups, that is.

If you’re interested in the plan, or want to see what other plans US Mobile offers, you can check it out on their site here. By the way, use code FREEKIT to snag a free SIM card kit too, if you need one.
