One of the bonus perks of switching carriers is sometimes your new carrier will give you extra benefits to earn your loyalty. T-Mobile has, for a while, offered a port-in credit for bringing your number in from a competitor.

An eligible postpaid number brought into T-Mobile will net you a $200 rebate credit — and the offer, which first showed up back in April, can be redeemed a total of five times per account, potentially bringing the total up to $1,000.

It’s an amazing offer, but as nice as it is, not everything lasts forever. Wednesday, August 16th, will be the last day you can claim the offer for five lines before T-Mobile considerably slashes it.

Starting on August 17th (Thursday), a renewed version of the $200 port credit promo will go into effect. The most notable difference here is that instead of being able to redeem the offer a total of five times, you’ll only be able to do so just two times per account.

You still get $200 after the new version of the offer is up, but because the offer caps out at two credits, the most you’ll be able to get out of this is $400 rather than $1,000.

It’s worth noting that the promo is only available to those opening or porting into T-Mobile’s most premium plan, which is the Go5G Plus plan. Other plans available on T-Mobile don’t currently qualify.

If you have numbers you want to port in, and they’re more than two, you’ll want to do it now. Eligible numbers are postpaid numbers from AT&T, Verizon, US Cellular, Claro, Xfinity, Spectrum, and Liberty Puerto Rico. They must each be ported and activated into a new voice line on Go5G Plus.

Act fast, the offer changes on August 17th.
