Carriers, and T-Mobile specifically, like to run iPhone deals a lot. Apple won’t do them, so it’s up to retailers and carriers to help you save money on an iPhone purchase. We’ve seen deals around launch time, and during popular shopping holidays as well. This deal, however, is the best one T-Mobile has run yet, at least according to T-Mobile itself. We’ll take their word for it, though, because it’s insane.

T-Mobile has launched a new deal for customers switching to T-Mobile where it will not only give you up to four free iPhone 16 Pro devices, but it will also go ahead and pay off your old phone to facilitate your purchase.

Not only that, but you will also get to keep the old phone. No trade-in is necessary.

The only catch is customers who switch to T-Mobile must activate service on the “Experience Beyond” premium plan. The company will also provide up to $800 per line via a virtual prepaid Mastercard to cover the outstanding device balances owed on the existing phone. That way, you won’t have to pay out of pocket to finish off your existing installment plan with your previous carrier.

To qualify for the payoff assistance, called “Family Freedom”, customers must port their number from an eligible carrier (such as AT&T, Verizon, Spectrum, Claro, Xfinity, Liberty, or UScellular) and submit proof of their existing device balance. More details on how this works can be found here.

As usual, the value of the iPhone 16 Pro is provided through 24 monthly bill credits. If a customer cancels their T-Mobile service before the 24-month period concludes, the remaining balance on the financed iPhone 16 Pro will become due.

The “Experience Beyond” plan, required for this promotion, is T-Mobile’s most premium offering. It includes features such as unlimited premium data, a pretty significant mobile hotspot allowance (250GB), various international benefits, and bundled streaming services like Netflix, Apple TV+, and Hulu. It’s the most expensive plan, but with this offer, the argument can be made that it can kind of make up for it.

If you’re interested in this offer, you can find out more on T-Mobile’s website now.
