Samsung first teased their new Galaxy S25 Edge back in January during their Galaxy S25 Unpacked event. Little was known about the device at the time, but now Samsung has announced the device in all its glory and T-Mobile has a few nice deals for customers to snag one.
Announced on Monday, the S25 Edge packs most of the same guts as an S25+, but with a much thinner body at just 5.8mm thick. There are some trade-offs, like losing a camera lens and some battery capacity, but if all you want is a premium phone with a thin and light body, this is the one for you.
T-Mobile is offering up to $1,100 off the new Samsung phone, making it entirely free (via monthly bill credits). And in a move that could be seen as matching Verizon, T-Mobile will honor the trade-in deal even if your phone is smashed up or broken, continuing a trend the company has recently been doing.
The catch is you’ll need to be on either the new Experience Beyond plan or the Go5G Next plan for the full value. Otherwise, you’ll get a reduced trade-in value for the same device. Oh, and the ability to trade in a broken device is also restricted to just Beyond and Next, too.
For Experience More and Go5G Plus, the trade-in devices are the same, but the values drop to $800 for newer devices and $400 for the older ones. If you’re on any other plan, including the older grandfathered plans like Magenta or ONE, the max you can get is $500 and $250 respectively.
