Paying a lot of money for a high-end line usually comes with both free and paid optional perks. Verizon’s Disney Bundle perk is pretty good, giving you ad-free access to Disney+ and access to a couple of other Disney-owned streaming services. Now, though, it just got ever so slightly worse.
New subscribers to the perk, or existing MyPlan customers opting into it now, will receive the “Disney Bundle Trio Basic.” This package bundles subscriptions to Disney+ Basic (which includes advertisements), Hulu (also with ads), and ESPN+ (also with ads).
The former iteration of the perk, priced identically at $10 per month, included Disney+ Premium (providing an ad-free viewing experience), alongside the ad-supported versions of Hulu and ESPN+.
Verizon has confirmed that this legacy bundle featuring Disney+ Premium is no longer available for customers to add to their plans moving forward; if you already have it, you’ll get to keep it, but beginning April 17, 2025, the price will rise from $10 to $15 per month.
This increased rate will be reflected starting with the first billing cycle, which will occur on or after that date. Verizon assures customers currently benefiting from promotional or trial pricing on the legacy bundle that these special rates will be honored until their predetermined expiration date. Only after the promotion concludes will the new $15 monthly charge apply, should they choose to continue with the legacy perk.
Eligibility for adding this updated perk remains tied to specific Verizon plans: Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus, Unlimited Welcome, and Welcome Unlimited. The core distinction between the old version of the perk and the new version remains the Disney+ tier: the new $10 perk offers the ad-supported Basic version, while the grandfathered, soon-to-be-$15 perk retains the ad-free Premium version. Hulu and ESPN+ remain ad-supported in both bundles.
Even at the increased $15 price, this package continues to be a good deal, but it’s a bummer that you won’t be able to get it anymore.
