A little over a week ago, we covered how to activate T-Mobile’s new “Hulu (with ads) On Us” promotion.
The process is pretty simple for customers that are on Go5G Next: simply activate the add-on and connect your Hulu account. What wasn’t so clear, however, was how customers who were given the “On Us” benefit as a freebie back in January of 2024 were supposed to redeem it. Now we have an answer.
Customers who redeemed the 1-year promo code back in January of 2024 for their free Hulu are now seeing their accounts automatically activate the connection between Hulu and T-Mobile. Essentially, T-Mobile used the unique promo codes to link the two accounts together. Pretty smart.
To confirm if you have Hulu On Us active, simply login to your Hulu account page (the same one you redeemed the promo code on) and see if the billing is set to T-Mobile, as shown in the image below.
As previously reported, the new Hulu On Us isn’t stackable with add-ons, so you won’t be able to add ESPN or Disney+ to the plan and pay the difference. You also can’t upgrade to ad-free unless you want to pay full price, which kind of defeats the point of the “On Us”.
As for customers who were eligible for “On Us” last year but didn’t claim the promo code, those customers should be able to enable the add-on in their account add-ons page and connect to Hulu directly.
As far as we know, all eligible customers should now be set up and ready to go for Hulu On Us. If you had Netflix On Us prior to January 2024, and didn’t claim the promo code, simply visit the add-ons page in your T-Mobile account and activate it.
