Long-time T-Mobile customers are aware of how the promos work: the more expensive your plan is, the more valuable promos you get. Every now and then, though, a good promo comes along that even legacy customers as far back as ONE plans can get, and that day is today.
T-Mobile customers on nearly any T-Mobile postpaid plan that can do installments can snag a Pixel 9 series device for a whopping $800 off with trade-in. No new line, no expensive Next plan, just a simple upgrade. Pretty sweet.
The Pixel 9 is $799.99 MSRP, so that makes it free. There’s even a bonus: right now, the DCC fee of $35 is waived. That means you can order a brand new Pixel 9 right now for just the cost of taxes.
We’ve confirmed the deal via internal documents (which we’re unable to share for now). The only plans that aren’t eligible are accounts that can’t do EIPs, so Select Choice for example.
The Pixel 9 isn’t the only eligible device, either. The Pixel 9 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold are also $800 off with trade. It is worth noting, though, that the Pro and Pro XL are the same price right now, so there’s not much reason to get the base Pro.
That makes a brand new Pixel 9 Pro or Pro XL just $8.33/mo after trade-in and the Pixel Pro Fold $41.66/mo.
The eligible trade-in devices are below.
Now, you’re probably thinking “What’s the catch?” Well, there isn’t really a big one this time. Other than the promo being over 24 months (just like most T-Mobile promotions), the only condition here is it’s a digital-only promotion. That means you must order yourself either online on the website or via the T-Life app. Sales reps both online and in-store won’t be able to.
Don’t forget, the full $800 promotional value is applied evenly over the 24 months due to a change in how T-Mobile handles these promos. That can be a positive or a negative, depending on how you view it, but it means your bill won’t go up a penny if you choose the base model Pixel 9.
You can order the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold now on T-Mobile’s website. Act fast, we’re not sure how long this one will stick around.
