The new Pixel 9 range of phones is here, and Google has put extra care into them to make sure they’re the most special we’ve seen from the company. There’s impressive new hardware, new features, and, unfortunately, a new high price to pay.

The new phones, the base model of which starts at $800, aren’t exactly the cheapest thing in the world. That being said, if you want to get one of the higher end models for free, you might want to check out the amazing deals AT&T has for you.

AT&T is currently running a few pre-order deals for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, and they’re pretty impressive. Right now, AT&T is willing to give you either phone for free, if you meet a few conditions. That’s a full $1,050 off the Pro and $1,250 off the Pro XL. Weirdly, the base model Pixel 9 isn’t eligible for the promo, and AT&T is also not even offering the Fold at all unfortunately.

If you’ve seen our coverage of the deals that other carriers are currently running, you’d know this one is actually pretty great. The catch? All you need to do to claim this is to trade in any phone worth $35 or more, or any Pixel. Yes, we’re talking literally any Pixel going back all the way to the original Pixel model released in 2016.

The full list of eligible trade-ins can be seen in the image below.

Your eligible trade-in will be valid for up to $1,250 off, which should mean any of the Pixel 9 Pro or Pro XL base models.

The other catch is the plan itself: new customers will need to activate new postpaid unlimited service and existing customers must be on an eligible unlimited plan. The phone’s discount will be applied as a credit to your account over the course of the next 36 months of billing.
