bogo lines

UPDATE 6/17/21: T-Mobile at the last minute has decided to remove Simple Choice plans from the eligibility list.

It seems the reasoning behind this is due to the fact that T-Mobile supposedly no longer has the ability to add a $0 SOC to new lines on those plans. Apparently, customers who were to get this BOGO on Simple Choice plans would not have been able to have free data on those lines. If this is the case, Simple Choice plans may indeed be excluded from future free lines as a result.

The updated SOC list is below.

Time for another free line offer! Also, who in the world is naming these things?

Starting Tuesday June 15th, and for a limited time, customers with at least 2 paid voice lines can add 2 additional lines to their account and get one free.

The news comes via an internal document shared with The T-Mo Report shown below.

Like the offer back in March, new customers and single line customers can get two free lines if they add a total of 5 lines (or 4 for single line customers). Those customers would then end up with 3rd line free and Line On Us 10.

Once again, some plan types are excluded. Here’s the list of ineligible account types:

  • Simple Choice
  • Value Essentials (the 4 for $100 deal from a while back)
  • Military
  • Unlimited 55+
  • First Responder
  • Amplified
  • Select Choice
  • No Credit Check

The offer only applies to voice (aka phone) lines. Wearable/mobile internet lines are not part of this promotion.

This is the second time in 2021 that a “Line On Us” deal has required adding a paid line at the same time, with the first one being back in March.

Starting today, June 15th, customers can contact T-Mobile support to add the lines or add them online and save the $30 per line support fees.
